Looking for an Anbernic discount code? You don't need to copy one: our link to ANBERNIC's official store takes 10% off at checkout on the RG35XX, RG DS, RG Cube and the rest of the lineup. Below are the current store prices for every model, so you can see what you'll pay and pick the right handheld before you check out.
ANBERNIC sells close to 30 handhelds at once, and many of them share the same processor. That makes the choice less about raw power than about three things: the shape you like to hold, the screen size, and whether you want Linux or Android. The cheap Linux models under $65 all run the H700 chip, the Android models from about $80 to $175 add touchscreens and more power, and the flagships near $260 to $350 use chips strong enough for demanding systems.
This guide sorts every current Anbernic handheld into groups by what you want to play and how you want to hold it, using the specs and prices on ANBERNIC's own store, so you can narrow 30 models down to two or three in a few minutes.

Anbernic RG35XX family: the best first handheld (under $65)
The RG35XX 2024, RG 35XXPro, RG35XX H, RG35XXSP, RG34XX, RG 34XXSP and RGSP all run the same H700 quad-core chip with 1GB of RAM and Linux. They play the same games equally well, so the real differences are the body (vertical, horizontal or clamshell), the screen, Wi-Fi and the number of analog sticks. Two sticks help with 3D games; a clamshell protects the screen in a bag; a vertical body is the most pocketable.
The tiny RG28XX uses the same chip with a 2.83-inch screen and is the cheapest Anbernic you can buy.

Check priceAnbernic RG DS and the dual-screen models
The RG DS is one of the most searched Anbernic handhelds right now, and for good reason: two screens for under $100. It and the RG DS Plus cost about the same but suit different buyers. The RG DS runs Android 14 or Linux with 3GB of RAM and two 4-inch touchscreens. The RG DS Plus runs Linux only with 1GB of RAM, but its two 4.3-inch 1024×768 screens are sharper and the lower one works with the included stylus. Both sleep when you close the lid.
The new RG DDS is the premium option: a 4.7-inch top screen, a 4-inch bottom screen, a Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 chip and Android 16. It is a pre-order; ANBERNIC's shipping page says shipments are expected to start on December 10, 2026.

Android models run emulator apps, Android games and streaming apps, and they have touchscreens. The RG Rotate and the standard RG VITA use the older Unisoc T618. Standard versions ship without a game card.

How to buy an Anbernic handheld and save
- Choose Linux or Android. Linux is cheaper and simpler for older systems; Android brings more power, a touchscreen and apps.
- Pick the warehouse on the product page. Most models list China, US and sometimes EU stock. US stock usually arrives faster, but colors and versions sell out there first.
- Choose the version. Android models come as a standard version without a game card, with RAM and storage options on the bigger models.
- Unlock the 10% offer and check the total. Unlocking the offer at the top of this page opens ANBERNIC's store, and 10% off applies at checkout. Shipping is added by weight and destination, so compare the delivered total, not the sticker price.
- Time it if you can. ANBERNIC cuts prices during big sales such as 11.11 (Singles' Day) in November and Black Friday.
- Test it the day it arrives. Returns close 15 days after delivery.
Shipping and returns
Orders are processed in 2 to 4 business days, and shipping is calculated at checkout from the weight, size and destination. You can cancel within 12 hours of ordering if it hasn't shipped.
Returns are accepted within 15 days of delivery for US orders if the device is new, unused and in its original box. For a change of mind, you pay 25% of the order amount plus the return label, with a $35 minimum. A device that arrives faulty can be returned free within those 15 days. After that, the 12-month warranty covers free replacement parts rather than a refund.

Which Anbernic handheld should you buy?
For a first handheld, get the RG35XX H at $50.32: Wi-Fi, two sticks and about 8 hours of battery on the same chip as every other cheap model. Prefer a clamshell? The RG35XXSP at $52.19 plays the same games and protects the screen.
Want two screens, go for the RG DS from $94.99. Move up to the RG Cube at $122.99 if you want Android and a touchscreen, and only spend $260 or more on the RG 557 or RG 477 models if you play demanding systems.
Example: the RG Cube at $122.99 against a regular $169.99 saves $47 before our 10% link and shipping.
Anbernic buying questions
What is the best Anbernic handheld for beginners?
The RG35XX H or the RG35XXSP. Both use the H700 chip with Wi-Fi, cost about $50 to $65 and run the same Linux games, so pick the horizontal body (RG35XX H) or the clamshell (RG35XXSP).
Which Anbernic RG35XX should I buy?
All current RG35XX models share the H700 chip, so performance is the same. The RG35XX 2024 is the cheapest but has no Wi-Fi; the RG35XX H adds Wi-Fi and two sticks in a horizontal body; the RG35XXSP is the clamshell; the RG 35XXPro is vertical with two sticks.
Is Anbernic legit?
Yes. ANBERNIC is a Chinese handheld maker that sells through its own store at anbernic.com, with US, EU and China warehouses, a 15-day return window and a 12-month warranty. Buy from the official store or a well-known marketplace rather than unknown resellers.
Linux or Android Anbernic?
Linux models are cheaper and simpler and suit older systems. Android models cost more but have stronger chips, touchscreens, more RAM and access to Android apps and streaming.
Is the Anbernic RG DS worth it?
If you want two screens for under $100, yes. The RG DS has two 4-inch touchscreens, 3GB of RAM and runs Android 14 or Linux. The RG DS Plus costs about the same with sharper 4.3-inch screens but runs Linux only with 1GB of RAM.
Do Anbernic handhelds come with games?
The Linux models ship with a microSD card for the system, and most Android models are sold as a standard version with no card. Only play games you own.
Anbernic vs Retroid: which is better?
Retroid focuses on Android handhelds. ANBERNIC covers more ground, from Linux models under $50 to Android flagships and a Windows handheld, so it is the easier pick on a tight budget or if you want a specific shape such as a clamshell or two screens.
Is there an Anbernic discount code?
You don't need to type one. Unlock the offer at the top of this page: it opens ANBERNIC's official store and 10% off applies at checkout. ANBERNIC also cuts prices during big sales such as 11.11 and Black Friday, so check the order summary before you pay.
How long does an Anbernic battery last?
ANBERNIC lists about 6 to 8 hours for most models: around 8 hours for the RG35XX H, RG35XXSP, RG 55G1 and RG 557, 7 hours for the RG Cube and 6 hours for the RG DS. Demanding games drain it faster.
